From government lobbying to network and social programs, there are several benefits to joining the Edmonton Apartment Association.

Government Lobbying

The EAA works hard on many levels to ensure the rental community is well represented on a local, provincial and national scale. Some of our main priorities include:

  • Lobbying with the City of Edmonton on municipal taxes.
  • Lobbying with the Alberta Government on revamping the Residential Tenancies Act.
  • Lobbying with the Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations on federal tax issues.

Education and Information Programs

As a member of the EAA you have some great opportunities to get the latest in education and information on the local and national rental industry. Some of these programs include:

  • The annual Suite Smart trade show and conference. This show features apartment industry exhibitors and seminars conducted by world-class experts.
  • Monthly educational seminars on topics directly related to apartment management.
  • A free annual subscription to the Rental Gazette.

Network and Social Programs

Joining the EAA is a great way to make contacts in the industry. Some of our events include:

  • Monthly member luncheons featuring informative guest speakers and an opportunity to meet with building owners, property managers, contractors and industry suppliers.
  • An annual golf tournament.
  • The T.E.A.M Exchange Luncheon. This informal affair brings together members for the purpose of expanding networks, making new contacts and sharing information. It also gives you the opportunity to give or seek advice, vent about issues facing the business or bring attention to new information and shared items of concern.
No pre-registration is required. Attendees are responsible for their own luncheon buffet. There is plenty of free parking available.
